Prairie Meadows (Quarter Horse) STAKES
Purse $70,000. Three Hundred And Fifty Yards. (Includes $42,500 – IBF - Iowa Bred Fund) (Includes $10,000 – Other Sources). For Fillies And Mares, Three-Year-Olds And Upward. (Iowa Registered and Foaled). No Nomination Fee. $300.00 to pass the entry box with an additional $600.00 to start. $70,000 guaranteed of which 45% to the winner, 18% to second, 10% to third, 6% to fourth, 5% to fifth, 4% to sixth, 3.5% to seventh, 3% to eighth, 3% to ninth, and 2.5% to tenth. If less than 10 starters, refer to pay-out schedule listed in the Condition Book or with the Horsemen's Bookkeeper. Weights: Three-Year-Olds - 125 Lbs.; Older- 127 Lbs. Preference will be to the horses with the highest accumulated earnings in 2025-2026 according to official statistics provided by Equibase. Finalists for the 2026 Polk County Derby will be least preferred. Trainer entries will be limited to no mmore than five (5) in this race. Starters to be named through the entry box at the usual time of closing. Limited to twelve (12) starters of which only the first ten (10) finishers will receive purse money . Trophy to be presented to the owner of the winner. Note: This stake race is subject to the 2026 Iowa Quarter Horse Hair Testing Protocol. Closed Sunday, September 13, 2026 with 13 nominations.
